Short Version:
The group destroys several artifacts, but acquires several more as they break Psyla's mental grip on the woman she had been controlling. Psyla herself then takes control of Aragorn, but the group saves him from himself and cancel the mind-hold. The group decide which artifacts to leave and which to carry into battle with Psyla, before realizing that they are not yet prepared to face her and the tree-like Kementari. They decide to ask for divine guidance, and prepare an offering to ensure that their question is heard...
Long Version:
After the battle with Jacques is won, the group finds that the Dwarven rings are neutral (they amplify good and evil, but are not inherently good or evil). Most of the rest of the group decides to use them, but Allen and Ardwinna refuse, fearing an unknown influence. We then begin trying to free prisoners from the snowglobe, including the King of the Lonely Mountain. Ardwinna enlarges it, and Brunhilde hits it with a hammer. It breaks open in a blast of white light, and the people who were inside are nowhere to be found. Not knowing how to find the people who were in the snow globe, the team next decides what to do with the Elven army under Ronald’s control. Elenor – pro human side; status quo. Geddoe – declare war on humans. Yethos – stay neutral and isolationist. We take Geddoe and Jacques’ lieutenants prisoner, and bring them back to Minas Tirith, leaving Ronald in charge of the rest of the Elves.
When we return to Minas Tirith, we find Aragorn and Psyla having a dinner with Legolas, Gimli, Faramir, and other guests of honor. We concoct a plan, and Ardwinna casts a silence sphere on herself, and then casts a Mentalism detection spell on everyone in the room. Psyla is the only one being controlled, and so Ardwinna casts Cancel Mentalism. The spell succeeds, and the Psyla in front of us has a blank expression and apparently no memories. As we are discussing what to do next, Aragorn draws his sword, speaks as through controlled by Psyla, and as he attempts to stab himself, the group use their artifacts to stop him.
Upon investigation, the controlled "Psyla" is carrying all of the artifacts she had, except the paintbrush of teleportation, as well as a palantir, chainmail, and a magic gauntlet/amulet (self-only teleportation). We get the Scepter of Disruption back. The prayer beads can open a direct channel to communicate with the god of their choice; they can also send power through the bearer. The gauntlet can kill any creature except humans. The compass tells us where to go to when we decide on a destination. The chain mail absorbs life essence from people, taking years off of their lives. Aragorn takes the Scepter of Disruption, and we decide to destroy the chainmail and the gauntlet of non-human slaying.
After some discussion, the group decides to use the map artifact to find out where the real Psyla is operating from. The map gives us a location on the Isle of Evil, where a woman who was controlling the “Psyla” in front of us is in a cave. Before we prepare for the battle with Psyla, Mia gives Walter an engraving of Denethor, Boromir, and Faramir. Allen gives Mia one of his concealed boot daggers, with Silvan writing on it, for good luck. As we prepare to leave, we learn of Kementari, an evil sentient tree, trying to devour the world. Psyla is working in Kementari's service. We are about to teleport to fight Psyla, but we use Intuitions (Deanna and Ardwinna), and see the tree destroying our party. We then ask the palantir which artifact can destroy Kementari, the tree. We get some answers of which spells can damage the tree, but none are a foolproof way to destroy the tree.
The group then decides what artifacts to keep and which to leave behind, and cast Intuitions spells to see how their battle with Psyla and Kementari will go. We see ourselves being destroyed, and decide that we are not yet ready. We decide to ask the gods for guidance, and prepare the appropriate offering to have our question answered.

Jacques is Defeated, and a Bitter Struggle Looms
Short Version:
The party acquires a gong which causes incredible pain to all who hear it, and then use the gong to defeat Jacques and his army, acquiring even more artifacts. Ronald now controls an elven army which will be used to help defend Minas Tirith against any attack the Haradrim can muster. The group returns to Minas Tirith to discuss strategy and prepare for what they believe will be the final confrontation with Psyla...
Long Version:
After leaving Mia's birthday party at various times, the group members hear a tremendous crash, and run to investigate. They find Psyla and Theodore having a destructive wizard’s duel in Minas Tirith. Psyla sees us approaching and runs away. Theodore chases her, and we chase him into an alley. We find Mia and Akmentu unconscious in the alley, and a dead Haradrim with a gong. Theodore teleports us all to Akmentu’s fortress with himself, Mia, and Akmentu, even though he didn’t want the rest of the team going along. Ronald and Allen examine Mia and Akmentu's vital signs and try to determine what is wrong with them. Allen determines that they still have pulses and a heartbeat, and are warm, but they are not breathing. They appear to be a bit sick from whatever happened to them. (While Allen and Ronald are trying to help the unconscious Mia and Akmentu, Ardwinna determines that when the gong is banged, whoever hears it falls down in agonizing pain).
The two of them eventually wake up, and Mia recounts that she and Deanna last saw Psyla talking to Tay and Theodore, and they ran away from the duel between Psyla and Theodore. The gong was used on them, and they blacked out. After discussing what happened, we all teleport with Akmentu and some of his generals back to Minas Tirith to see King Aragorn. We tell him what happened, and begin discussing our battle strategy against the Elven army marching towards Minas Tirith. Allen suggests creating a circle of quiet, placing the gong of pain outside of it, and shooting it from within the circle. The quiet will protect us from its noise, but allow us to harm the enemy army. In addition, Deanna’s bardic spells can increase the volume and range of the gong to affect more troops. The hope is that we can incapacitate, but not kill most the elven troops, and deal with Jacques and a few bodyguards instead of an entire army.
It is finally agreed upon that Dalir will strike the gong with his hammer, and it will incapacitate the elven army, while the rest of us attack and try to defeat Jacques. We proceed with our plan, and most of the elves are in agony on the ground after Dalir strikes the gong. Everyone teleports in, sees Dalir dead with an arrow through his neck, and then attacks Jacques and his golems. One of the golems is destroyed by our relentless attacks, but Jacques gets his own shots in, using a slingshot to shoot a pebble at Allen, which grows to a boulder and crushes him to death. Ardwinna gets shot in the chest with an arrow as well. Dragar also falls dead, to an unknown and unseen force. In retribution, Walter strikes Jacques twice with his hammer, breaking his arm, and Mia throws a Lightning Spear at Jacques, beheading him.
Quickly, Walter seats Ronald on the throne Jacques was on, and Ronald now controls the elves. The group finishes off Jacques' entourage, and revives the three party members who had died. The items we recovered include: a red cloak that burns everyone around the user; a slingshot that fires a pebble which becomes a boulder; a snowglobe which miniaturizes people and puts them in the snowglobe; a golden hammer which allows for alchemy; boots that allow walking spells, including waterwalking, sandwalking, limbwalking, wallwalking, etc.; a golden spider’s web which makes a magical net; a wand with vines, which controls plant life, such as trees; a set of leather armor which lets one walk through walls; a makeup kit that allows for perfect disguise; and finally, four rings of power recovered: one is a human ring and three are dwarf rings. The party teleports back to Minas Tirith to regroup and prepare for the final conflict with Psyla and her remaining forces.

Lich-King Mop-Up, and Psyla: It's a Trap!
Short Version:
The group destroys Shaft, and the remnants of the Lich-King's forces, and overall they acquire many artifacts in a short time. However, they lose possession of the Scepter of Disruption, now seen as a game-changing artifact. The team ends the session celebrating Mia's birthday and giving her gifts, but in the back of their minds, they all know that the struggle against evil is about to get very dangerous, as the artifacts have all been claimed, and a final, vicious struggle is anticipated...
Long Version:
First, the group goes to pay Shaft a visit and see what artifacts he has for us. We teleport directly to his library and begin attacking him. Mia makes 5 attacks against him, but he reaims them at her, and she falls dead with mortal wounds, a victim of her own deadly precision. Walter uses his specialty move and grows to twice his height and attacks, but misses. Allen fires his new icebolt crossbow, and hits Shaft in the arm, encasing it in ice and causing him to reel back and fall to the ground, weighed down by ice.
Eventually Mia, who is revived by Deann's healing stone, finishes him off, and we take his skull artifact and shatter it. The ring he holds is inset with pearl – it is one of the nine rings - and we take it for ourselves. The palantir tells us that there is a purple ring and earring set, a magical bag, a flaming whip, and Gandalf’s (Grey) old staff in Moria. After we arrive, Walter uses his vibration sense to find the whip and staff underneath some ice, and we use the thermometer to melt the ice and recover them. Deanna decides to equip the whip, and Ronald says it gives a bonus to attack, and a secondary fire critical. The grey staff gives unlimited power points. (The white staff gives access to all essence spells). Ardwinna takes this staff, so that she now has both of Gandalf's staffs.
As the group continues, Allen uses his ranger spells to protect the team from extreme heat, and the team teleports and uses the thermometer to increase the temperature to 200 degrees, which causes the orcs to run from the team. We recover the artifacts from the head orc and his minion. The ring and earring are the soul stealing earring and ring set. (The ring can steal a person’s soul, and it can be stored inside the earring). They belonged to Palando, an Istari. We release the soul inside, and find Tay, the wizard. The magic bag is the Bag of Gizmos (Batman’s Bag).
We now head off to Tharbad, where there is a lantern and a mirror. We see the Haradrim fighting some demons, and decide to try to ambush them, after going to Minas Tirith to get Akmentu’s help. Walter rolls the dice he took from the orcs, and rolls a 9, which gives him permanent haste. Walter and the rest of the team attack who they thought was Psyla, but it is in fact Kiba. We manage to slay hinm, but while we are attacking, the Scepter of Disruption is summoned to Psyla’s hands, and she steps through the teleportation portal opened by the paintbrush. Her henchmen try to escape through the portal, with some of them making it through, but Allen casts an Earthwall to stop others from escaping.
Shortly thereafter, Walter manages to kill Maximilian in one blow. Ardwinna casts Mass Haste on the team, and then Mia kills Sanchez, and Walter kills Billy. Mia then dashes to collect artifacts from the fallen generals; she gets a cap, a spear, and an orb. Walter picks up an axe as well. We then teleport back to Aragorn, and Ronald identifies the items for us. The Tunic of Endurance gives 105 CON, and HP of a berserker. The Axe of Gothmog (king of the balrogs) gives a +50 OB, and deals fire criticals. The Lightning Spear can be used two-handed or thrown. The Dragon Orb turns the bearer into a dragon.
At this point, the group finds that Akmentu has planned a birthday party for Mia. There is a cake (which she did not have to bake herself), and Walter gives her a pipe. Everyone else still needs to think of their gifts next time.
