Psyla Still Stands, and a Fellowship Divided

Short Version:
Mia is told by the gods themselves that Psyla cannot be defeated as long as there is life on Middle Earth. Psyla tries to turn the group against Akmentu by blaming him for slaughtering much of the elven army. The entire group engages in a fierce debate over the Cup of Immortality, with Akmentu and his forces believing it is necessary to bring peace to the lands, and Aragorn and his forces believing it is folly to use it, akin to succumbing to the temptation to use the one ring. The next (and possibly last!) session promises to be very interesting indeed...

Long Version:

Mia uses the prayer beads artifact to ask for divine guidance, but is essentially told that we can do nothing about Psyla, and that she will exist as long as life on Middle Earth exists. We decide to get some rest after a long day, and wake up the next day to find many elves dead, including the leader we put on the throne. While we are discussing this matter, Psyla’s old puppet body comes in and tells us that she did not kill the elves, but that Akmentu’s forces are responsible. She says that she is still willing and able to help us defeat Akmentu and his forces. Psyla then asks for the Cup of Immortality. Walter tells her off, however, and Dalir destroys the puppet so that she cannot use it anymore.

We then ask for the Scepter of Disruption to destroy some of the artifacts which Psyla might use against us, but Walter speaks against destroying the Cup of Immortality. Tea, Akmentu’s telepath, clears her throat, and says: “There is one thing you should know. Not all of us are subject to her mind control.” She then claims that any who have drunk from the Cup of Immortality are immune. Walter asks how she knows such a thing, and she says that Mia and Akmentu, along with some others of Akmentu's group, have drunk from it. Allen then reveals that he suspected this when Mia and Akmentu stopped breathing after hearing the Gong, but the Elven army was not affected in such a way when Dalir used the Gong against them.

A few harsh words are exchanged, and before anyone can react, Walter rushes at Mia to try to steal the Cup from her, and Allen tries to tie everyone up in vines using the wand of plant control, but his spell is cancelled, and Walter is thrown against the wall by Tea after he tackles Mia to the ground. There is a tense standoff between Akmentu’s group and Aragorn’s group. Akmentu’s group claims they want peace and unity among the people of Middle Earth, and that they needed to use the Cup of Immortality in order to achieve this end. Aragorn is concerned, however, that Akmentu will eventually wage war against the gods, and bring ruin to all. Some members of Aragorn's group make it clear that they are disappointed in Mia's actions. After a round of accusations, discussions, and negotiations, Akmentu and his group agree to allow Dalir to drink from the Cup, as a sort of "equalizer." Dalir does so, falling into the same state that Mia and Akmentu were in. The session ends with with a tense standoff mounting, with the two groups still at odds, seemingly forgetting about Psyla as time is spent arguing.
