Psyla Still Stands, and a Fellowship Divided

Short Version:
Mia is told by the gods themselves that Psyla cannot be defeated as long as there is life on Middle Earth. Psyla tries to turn the group against Akmentu by blaming him for slaughtering much of the elven army. The entire group engages in a fierce debate over the Cup of Immortality, with Akmentu and his forces believing it is necessary to bring peace to the lands, and Aragorn and his forces believing it is folly to use it, akin to succumbing to the temptation to use the one ring. The next (and possibly last!) session promises to be very interesting indeed...

Long Version:

Mia uses the prayer beads artifact to ask for divine guidance, but is essentially told that we can do nothing about Psyla, and that she will exist as long as life on Middle Earth exists. We decide to get some rest after a long day, and wake up the next day to find many elves dead, including the leader we put on the throne. While we are discussing this matter, Psyla’s old puppet body comes in and tells us that she did not kill the elves, but that Akmentu’s forces are responsible. She says that she is still willing and able to help us defeat Akmentu and his forces. Psyla then asks for the Cup of Immortality. Walter tells her off, however, and Dalir destroys the puppet so that she cannot use it anymore.

We then ask for the Scepter of Disruption to destroy some of the artifacts which Psyla might use against us, but Walter speaks against destroying the Cup of Immortality. Tea, Akmentu’s telepath, clears her throat, and says: “There is one thing you should know. Not all of us are subject to her mind control.” She then claims that any who have drunk from the Cup of Immortality are immune. Walter asks how she knows such a thing, and she says that Mia and Akmentu, along with some others of Akmentu's group, have drunk from it. Allen then reveals that he suspected this when Mia and Akmentu stopped breathing after hearing the Gong, but the Elven army was not affected in such a way when Dalir used the Gong against them.

A few harsh words are exchanged, and before anyone can react, Walter rushes at Mia to try to steal the Cup from her, and Allen tries to tie everyone up in vines using the wand of plant control, but his spell is cancelled, and Walter is thrown against the wall by Tea after he tackles Mia to the ground. There is a tense standoff between Akmentu’s group and Aragorn’s group. Akmentu’s group claims they want peace and unity among the people of Middle Earth, and that they needed to use the Cup of Immortality in order to achieve this end. Aragorn is concerned, however, that Akmentu will eventually wage war against the gods, and bring ruin to all. Some members of Aragorn's group make it clear that they are disappointed in Mia's actions. After a round of accusations, discussions, and negotiations, Akmentu and his group agree to allow Dalir to drink from the Cup, as a sort of "equalizer." Dalir does so, falling into the same state that Mia and Akmentu were in. The session ends with with a tense standoff mounting, with the two groups still at odds, seemingly forgetting about Psyla as time is spent arguing.

Biography: Princess Ardwinna

Father: King Aragorn
Mother: Queen Arwen
Older Brother: Prince Augustus

Grew up in Minas Tirith's palace.
Age: 16
Demeanor: Spoiled, Bratty, at times whiny; as a princess, she has been waited on hand and foot, and basically expects everyone to do her bidding whenever she commands. She sees herself as better than nearly everyone, as she has spent her young life literally looking down on everyone from the 7th tier.

Family Background: King Aragorn spends his days doting on and grooming Prince Augustus, the heir to the throne. Queen Arwen, on the other hand, favors her daughter, and hand selected a special staff of servants designed to cater to Adrwinna’s every whim. Arwen and Ardwinna have become confidantes, and are closer than simply a mother and daughter.
After having Prince Augustus, King Aragorn was content, as he had successfully produced his heir. He finally gave in to Arwen’s requests for another child, but saw Ardwinna as Arwen’s project, and basically brushed her aside. Ardwinna has felt this since her youth, and therefore created a bond with her “Uncle Gandalf” as a male role model, mesmerized by the simple magick he would produce for her. Gandalf noticed her seemingly natural ability to learn the magick he showed her, and trained her in early years. Ardwinna is thrilled that Gandalf believes in her abilities as a Mage, and hopes that she will finally feel something akin to pride and love from her father because of this.

Ardwinna has also been facing the decision that looms over the head of every Half-Elf: the choice to stay immortal with her Elvin kin, or to choose the life of a mortal.
Arwen has impressed upon her that this choice is hers, and hers alone, and that neither parent would resent her decision. Ardwinna‘s close relationship with Arwen has everyone, from the Royal Family to their servants to the town peasants, speculating that Ardwinna will chose the immortal Elvin life of her mother’s kin, but Ardwinna has yet to reveal what decision she will make.

The Team

This post will serve as a guide as to who is on the team and some basic details about them. Eventually, you will be able to click the name of the character for a more detailed biography and stats of the character. This post will be continued to be updated, either through re-posting or by new posts of similar information (To Be Determined)

If there is some piece of information you wished to see, please post a comment and I'll change it as soon as I can. If you want your character to have a public biography, let me know via comments or facebook.

The Current Team (As Of 9-19-2011)
  • Princess Ardwinna (Kerri): The 16-year-old and only Daughter of King Aragorn and Queen Arwen, Ardwinna is one of the fairest in the realm due to her half-elf genes. Despite being the child of two fierce fighters, Ardwinna is a talented wizard, who combines both the arcane and essence arts. She tends to be passive and go along with the group, though she can be a pain at times.
  • Mia Rose (Sarah): A young (only 18) and short (4'6") lass, it is unknown what she did before joining the team, though she has stated she used to cook for a living. Extremely deadly with her darts, she can also hide and sneak as well as a hobbit. She is generally cheery and friendly, though she tends to be cold-hearted to her foes and is a bit naive to the world.
  • Allen (Jon): A Young Silvan Elf (only 200), this ranger is a master of the bow, hiding, animals and of guarding the Princess. Good-natured but serious, Allen has shown many items of potential worth, and won the first drinking game, beating even dwarves. A dependable man, though he did not fight in the War of the Rings.
  • Dragar (Joel): a Dwarf Monk of a Western yet unnamed Sect. After fighting for many years, particularly in the War of the Rings, this old dwarf gave up the way of the warrior, shaved his beard, and learned to contemplate the inner mysteries. Wary of artifacts, somewhat cautious, but a decent fighter and team player who will do his part.
  • Brunhilda Firebeard (Steph): A middle-aged (200 years) Dwarf Warrior from the Iron Mountains, she is known to be typically jolly and effective in battle with her mace and plate mail. She fought in the War of the Rings, spent some time with family and is now ready to earn her keep. She and Walter are old war buddies and she is an Ex-Member of the White Knights.
  • Walter Longtooth (Michael): a middle-aged (early 40s) human, Walter is technically a founding member of the White Knights. He tends to take on the leadership role of the team, often talking in negotiations. Agreeable, sociable, he tends not to take talk of the War of the Rings well, and is known to have to smoke hobbit weed to relax at night.
  • Ronald (NPC Healer): The former 2nd-in-command of the House of Healing of Elrond, he followed Arwen when she married Aragorn. A trusted member of the Royal Family, he has powerful healing spells that have already saved Mia's life. A curious and loyal Elf.
  • Deanna (NPC Bard): A Bard from Tharbad, this user of a shockingly non-electric whip mixes spells and attacks to be effective in battle. She seems to be a true bard; decent at a lot of things (singing, hiding, ambushing, spells, attacking) but not great at anything, with a tendency to fumble at Jon-Like levels.
To Be Added: Bob's Dwarf.

The Kill Tally (This may be inaccurate) (Keeps track of everyone's kills so far)
  1. Mia: 8 Kills
  2. Alan: 3 Kills
  3. Brunhilda: 3 Kills
  4. Walter 2 Kills
  5. Dragar: 2 Kills
  6. Shiro(?): 1 kill
  7. Ardwinna: 1 Kill
  8. Deanna/Ronald: 0 Kills
The Killed Tally (totally how many times people have died)
  1. Mia: 1 Killed
  2. Everyone Else: 0 Killed
